The Bravest Little Street in England

£2.00

The Bravest Little Street in England refers to Chapel St, Altrincham, after 161 men enlisted to fight in WW1. This newspaper is a memorial to the men who lost their lives, made by artist Carole Evans. It includes her two bodies of work, made in 2018, which commemorate the men with the use of Victorian photographic processes.

It also includes archival articles, archival photographs, and an essay by Paul Glavey, first published on Photomonitor on Remembrance Day 2019.

This newspaper was heavily subsidised with a Research Grant from Ravensbourne University London.
